Launched in January 2010 and based in London, TheGlobalOpen.com is a competition site that enables Golfers from anywhere worldwide to compete against each other on a monthly basis.

Back in 2007 in a Stableford Competition far far away.. Marc had the round of his life, spectacularly finished with an almighty putt on the last. With a great 43 points on his card he strolled into the club house expecting he had lined himself up to be awarded with some rather fine prizes for just a small entry fee. Unfortunately he was sorely disapointed when he found out a week later that the monthly club competition had had only 7 entries and the prize was a set of golf balls. Marc started to think.... with that sort of round I want to play against golfers all over the world and have the chance to win a great prize for my small entry fee. So the seeds of TheGlobalOpen.com was born...
